Movies of the Week : Gay/Drag queen films

Hello my loves!

How have you been doing these past days??? I hope excellent.

   I am really happy right now, because i am about to write a post about a subject that i really like! Gay and drag queen films. I am not gay myself nor i have gay friends but i am gay-friendly and i really enjoy these movies. I find them to be happy and relaxing (note, in the movies that follow not all films are happy and relaxing). So i thought this Sunday to make a list of some of my favorite gay films.

• Another Gay Movie

Genre: Gay , Comedy
Duration: 1,5 hours
Year: 2006

What a funny, colourful and weird film! Weird meaning that a lot of uncommon things happen just like the american pie movies.

The story is about 4 gay friends that have just finished school and are about to go to college. They never have had a relationship before, and so they decide to make the best out of their summer, placing a bet that everybody must meet somebody this summer. And that's were all the good stuff start to happen........

I really enjoyed it but i must warn you that it contains some nudity. Not extreme nudity,  but nudity non the less. Also there are a lot sex hints and conversations in this movie, so if you feel offended don't watch it.

If not, i feel it's a nice movie to watch with friends and can guarantee you some moments of laugh.

Hint: I would recommend it only if you are over 16/18 years old  

• Another Gay sequel

Genre: Gay , Comedy

Duration: 1,5 hours and a liiiiiitle bit more

Year: 2008

It is the sequel of the previous movie and it follows the same logic. Funny, colourful, gay themed, weird things happening.

This time, after the 4 boys have had an awesome summer last time, this summer they decide to go on a gay competition and challenge their luck.

I didn't enjoy this movie as the previous one, nor it's humor. It's not a masterpiece that you must see, nor a decent sequel that you should watch. If for whatever reason though you night need a gay movie to watch, it is a choice.

Hint : Again as i recall it, there exist sexual innuendos  

• Any Day Now

Genre: Gay , Drama , Court
Duration: 1,5 hours
Year: 2012

I didn't have the chance to see this film only i randomly happen to see its trailer on imdb. For that reason i cannot give you my opinion on this one, but from the trailer i can tell its going to be a great film.

A great plus (from my point of view) is the handsome protagonist ;)      (he also has played Nightcrawler from the X-men 2 movie)

• Keillers Park

Genre: Gay , Drama
Duration: 1,5 hours
Year: 2006

My oh my. What a depressive movie. When i remember it i want to cry :(

I don't want to spoil it for you guys so i won't get into more detail. Briefly the plot is about a grown man that just realizes he is gay and starts a relationship with an open gay. Their relationship faces the critique of society as well as other weird things happen.

It isn't a too tough film to watch but not a plain one either. If you want something more lighthearted pick another choice. 

• Eyes Wide Open

Genre: Gay , Drama
Duration: 1,5 hours
Year: 2009

Another serious film.
It is about the father of a strict jewish family that works as a butcher. One day a fugitive young man asks of him for a job/shelter and so he gets to stay at the butcher shop. As days pass by their coexistence evolves, leading to results that change both their lives. The dark part of this film is again the critique of society and the strictness of judaism.
Very beautiful film, with a deeper meaning, which with no second thoughts, i suggest watching.

• Connie and Carla

Genre: Gay/Drag , Comedy
Duration: 1,5 hours and a bit
Year: 2004

And now my dears time for the drag queen films!!!
This one is about two childhood friends that witness a murder and in order not to get caught by the murderers, they run away to Los Angeles and take undercover as drag queens.
While in drag, they make new friends, ........fall in love and become a dinner-theater success.   

This movie is definitely easy and fun to watch with the whole family.

• The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Dessert

Genre: Gay/Drag , Comedy , Drama
Duration: 1,5 hours and a bit
Year: 1994

Ahhhhhh memories........This has got to be my first gay themed movie. I believe it was the one that started my love for these kind of films.

I think that this movie is a drag queen classic. With impressive costumes and make up, many drag queen shows during the film and a perfect cast! (Hugo Weaving plays in this film)
It is really entertaining and i really suggest you give it a try. It is also suitable for the whole family.

Hello dear ones!


   Again i have a ''Currently in my head'' post for you. I know that lately i only write this kind of posts but i can't help it. A ''currently in my head'' post, should be written right away while it is still current.

   So, not to loose any more time, just a small post about what is currently in my head, which this time as we speak is Gwyneth Paltrow's stunning legs!!!!!

   My gosh..........I just had a heart attack of perfection! I mean they are long, thin, and in the second picture they are in perfect alignment with her dress. Which, now that i mentioned it, i find it really special, i loooove the transparency and it reminds me kinda of a superhero-kimono.

If only my legs would look like that  :(


   Moving on, i have some more photos for you of Gwyneth's stunning legs, from another appearance (the previous were from her Iron Man 3 premiere)

   Legs, legs and again legs..... Oh well. If you got them then you should show them right?

Hello there!

   Various thoughts have been on my mind again :P and i think it is a great opportunity to share them with you right now, while they are still ''fresh'' . What do you say?

   So, the things that have been on my mind lately, with no particular order are:


1. Selena's Gomez cool performance of the her new song  Come and Get it on the Ellen show

In the comments below the song everybody is bitching about how Selena can't sing, but for me it was a really good performance. A singnificant plus is her flawless, silky straight hair and her loose dress. Also i loved the make up!

2. My dear Jorge wants to get married


Say whaaaaaaaaaat????????? Come again???? Oh dear Jorge please don't forget about me :( You can marry me.........

Listen at 5:24 . The other person asks him what does he plan to do now and he replies to find a girl to make a family..................... Oh Jorge......



3. This funny video from big bang theory

No comments on this one. Just watch and laugh! :D

4. The hot chick from the movie ''Jack the Giant Slayer''


Or to rephrase that, Eleanor Tomlinson.
I first found out about her from the movie Angus Thongs and Perfect Snogging, for which you can read my review here. Then she was just 16 years old and a plain girl of her age. But as you can see from the pictures below and the movie trailer, she has grown up beautifully, blossoming like a true flower. If only i could ''blossom'' the same beautifully as she.

I also love her leather jacket and louboutins.

5. The latest ! AMAZING ! Star Trek trailer (can't wait for this movie to come out)

6. The beautiful, young and talented Saoirse Ronan.

This young girl has taken part in many movies lately. Look at The Host and Byzantium (which both look interesting movies).
And i just recently found out that i knew her before that. She also has played in the movie The Way Back   , an excellent movie which i strongly suggest, where her acting was amazing. I think that she is extremely talented.

10 facts about the cat

Good morning everyone!!!

   Lately many of you have been asking to know more things about me.................

 Hahahah, just kidding, just kidding. I am not that much of a celebrity. But still i thought that it would be nice to get to know a little bit more about me, a little bit about the person behind this blog, a little bit about the cat!

So, i will tell you 10 facts about me:

1. My favorite colour is lilac/ purple (in case you didn't already notice)

2. I love horse-back riding

3. I love to paint my nails in all the colours of the nail-polish rainbow, depending on my mood

4. I laught kinda often and kinda loud

5. I used to play the saxophone

6. I love anime , japan , j/k - pop , j/k - rock , j/k - drama , asian food and asian culture in general

7. I study informatics

8. My favorite books are epic fantasy oriented

9. I am an addicted tichu player

10. I l-o-v-e Disney and all sorts of kids' films in general

Currently in my head

Hello my loved ones,

it's been so long since i last talked to you and i dare say i've missed you!
Please forgive my absence but life has been keeping me occupied. Luckily i'm back today with a new post!

   This past week some images, thoughts and inspirations have been swirling in my head, not a rare thing for me. Let me give you an idea of what i mean:



1. I'm obsessed with my new coral shorts from Pull and Bear. Can't wait for the weather to become warmer so that i can wear them!

2. I came across these pictures from a photoshoot οf Lily Collins in New York and i can't held but admire her flawless look, perfect thick hair, stunning red lips, classic style, and later on after the photoshoot ends her own perfect rockish-fitting to her age style. I think she is gorgeous and really stylish.

3. The flawlessness of Taylor Swift. Oh i hate that girl so much ( i'm just kidding don't worry ). Why does she have to look perfect all the time? How does she do it? It's like she is a porcelain doll and no matter what she wears or what she does or even how awkwardly she may pose, she always looks perfect. For example :

Should i wear these clothes i would look like a grandma, but Taylor looks flawless.

Here again, she is just posing effortlessly, looking awesome, so thin, cute clothes, perfect hair and make-up , even her cat looks adorable!

Last but not least, i added this recent picture i came across from a photoshoot, where again she just looks perfect (hair, make-up, clothes)
