Movies of the Week : Lifelong movies

GOODMORNING EVERYONE!!!

And today it's Sunday. That means the perfect day for a new movies of the week post.

I was thinking that l don't only want to write about movies i have seen on these posts, but also from time to time, write tributes about various topics that always have to do with movies. This time it is about ''Lifelong movies'' .
Lifelong movies as i have said in my previous movies of the week post, is my self-created term to characterize movies that show a whole human life in them. Meaning that they do not only present us about a story that ends at some point, but show us how a character evolves , grows, has children , how their children have children etc.
Bellow, follow some of my favorite lifelong movies and that will give you excactly the idea of what i mean.

1. A Will of Their Own

Genre: Romance , Drama , Lifelong
Duration: 5 hours (it is a mini series)
Year: 1998

As i recall it, it is a movie about a free spirited woman, that believes in equality among sexes and races, she is ''trapped'' in upper class and forced to marry without love.
Parallel to all these she experiences a forbidden love, goes through her own bad marriage and fights for women rights.
This movie pictures the life of the leading character from her teen days to her old age.
I remember watching this movie when i was a little girl, inspiring me to be independent and decisive.

2. Far and Away

Genre: Romance , Drama , Wild West , Lifelong
Duration: Almost 2,5 hours

Year: 1992

I think that if not all of you then the most of you know this film.
For those who don't know it it is about a young rich upper class lady and an average young boy, who back in the days of founding America, go through different adventures, try to survive in a cruel world and try to deal with each other, each of them having their own dream.
I really enjoy this movie everytime i watch it and many years go by until we have what we call it, a happy ending.

3. Little Women

Genre: Romance , Drama , Lifelong
Duration: Almost 2 hours

Year: 1994

Based on the homonymous book, this movie depicts the life of each one of the four girls of the March family.

Really sweet movie that makes you wanna cry at some points and leaves you light-hearted at the end.

4. Les Misérables

Genre: Drama , Lifelong movie
Duration: 2 hours and something
Year: 1998

You can read my rewiew on this one in my previous post movies of the week here.

5. Goya's Ghosts

Genre: Drama , Lifelong movie , period film
Duration: Almost 2 hours
Year: 2006

In case you have missed this one i highly suggest it.
This movie takes place in Europe during the years of Inquisition and depicts the turns of the lives of many heroes. The young girl that's being accused of not being a proper catholic, the priest that condemns her, her family's friend a notorious painter (Goya).
Again during this film many events take place and years go by until we see what happens in the end.
In this film i wish it had lasted a little bit longer, showing us more about what happened to the characters.

Genre: Drama , Lifelong movie
Duration: 2,5 hours and a bit
Year: 2008

The title says it by itself. The movie depicts the life of Benjamin Button from life to death or reverse if you'd prefer.
Benjamin Button is a person that is born with a curious situation, he is born with the appearance and fitness of an old man and as time goes by he rejuvenates.
It was a little bit of a kid's fairytale for me but apart from that i liked it.

That was it for this week's movies of the week. How did you like it?
Is there another movie that you think could fit in this category? If you know of others please let me know. I can't wait to check them out. Lilelong movies are among my favorites to watch.

Till the next time my loves hope you are doing fine
Talk to you soon,

kisses and a paw

My Loves!

Hello sweathearts!

Today's post will be about my ''notorious'' Loves !

Whenever i am feeling sad, or depressed or even lonely, these are the people who come to mind and give me the strength to move on. These are my all-time favorite men, who i will always be in love with, admire, and dream that in another reality we were together.

The list will not be sorted by preference but by chronological order, meaning in the chronological order that i fell in love with each of these persons.

Here it goes :

1. Serj Tankian (vocalist of the band System of a Down)

I had a crush on him when i was around 14-15 years old and i still admire him. His music is original, with a deeper message to deliver and i also look up to him for his political views. I admire him for not being just an ordinary musician but also a person who states his opinion and is aware of the world he lives in, trying to make a change.
Listen some of his songs here , here , here , here and here. (some of my favorites)

2. Dimitris Diamantidis (ex-basketball player of the greek national basketball team and player of the team of Panathinaikos)

I fell in love with him when i was around 16. Little did i know about his skills (he is one of the best players in Europe and was/is the leader in both teams that he is in) but still i noticed him from the beginning. Until recently i hoped that i would ......don't laugh.......... marry him. I know, i know. But that's what dreams are for, and lists with the pesrons you are in love with, to make you dream.

3. Jorge Lorenzo (professional motorcycle MotoGP racer)

I fell in love with him around 19-20. Again, when i fell in love with him i didn't know he was one of the best of his kind. Soon after he won the championship. Look at him, isn't he adorable? His kind eyes, his wry smile, his character. I am a fan of his on facebook and i have to say he is very caring about his fans. He uploads photos almost every day, wishing us goodnight or goodmorning (according to the time the photo was posted) and always lets us know what he is up to. Also, according to his facebook posts, he does a lot of charity and always has various events to attend to.

I still have hopes that one day i might.....date him, so dear Jorge if you are out there, reading this post, don't hesitate to call me ;) Also please don't pose with all these paddock girls, you make me jealous.

4. Edward Norton (american actor)

I just fell in love with him this year, after i watched American History X. It was love at first sight. What can i say about him. I think he is devine (or at least looks so). Divine i mean not his looks, but his whole. He gives out the impression of an educated individual, a worthy-honest man, a kind person. His looks only come to add to that.
Choosing a photo to put on this section was hard, because when i clicked the search button, my heart skipped many beats..........

And now let's listen to this song while ''crying'' for the perfect man we will never have

By the way i think Jorge Lorenzo kinda looks like Edward Norton. Don't you think?

5. Walter Fane (character from the movie The Painted Veil)

When i was undergoing a ''Edward Norton movie marathon'' , i happend to watch this movie. It is based on the homonymous book. I definitely prefer the movie over the book because it has a significantly better ending.
Walter Fane is the man that i think i have based Edward Norton's character on, perhaps incorrectly. Still, Walter's character it just pure perfection.
I definitely recommend the movie!

Because as i see it this post is already too long and there are still some numbers to be added to this list, i'm gonna have to end it here for now, and finish it another time on a part 2 post.

Many, many kisses sweathearts,
Hope you find your own ''loves'' too.

Till the next time,
Kisses and kitten paws!

If only i had the money / Things i crave

Hello again!

and what a beautiful day it is today!

Recently it came to my mind that my wardrobe lacks some basic items. Moreover there are some ''pieces'' that may not be as necessary but non the less craved.
These items have been in my mind for such a long time and i guess they will continue to be until i fulfil them ;)

So let's start!

1. Lash+ plus serum for long lashes by Greenfields

Hm. I bought this stuff a year or two long ago, from my local Sephora, and still i remember it. I swear it worked miracles. You were supposed to use it once or twice every day and the product promised to lengthen your eyelashes. It came in a regular mascara bottle, with a regular mascara applicator, only it was clear. I remember i had bought it 30 euros.
To my experience it didn't only lengthen them but also made them thicker. I remember not using the product relentlessly and still my lashes would reach to my eyelid at some point.
Since the bottle ended i haven't repurchased it since, and my lashes now are back to their normal size. So i think that the results are not permanent. But i think that as long as you use it you're gonna have marvelous eyelashes.

2. Wonderstruck perfume by Taylor Swift

I wished for this perfume the moment it came out. I love Taylor Swift and i have heard the best critics on this one so i can't wait to try it out.

3. Benefit's It's Potent! Eye Cream

I also have read good reviews about this one. It is said to deeply hydrate eyes and also remove dark circles. If it's real then hell yeah!

4. Black leather (biker?) jacket

I had my eyes on this since i saw this - - - - - - - -  - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - >

Doesn't she look lovely in this jacket? This particular one is by Rick Owens and it costs around 1600 $ (if you click on the image you will see by yourselves) , and it's a biiiiiiiiiit too pricy for my tastes. So i am in a search for a leather jacket that would satisfy my needs as well as this one.

5. Black wedge booties.....

......that i can wear and party all night in them!
I was thinking that if i need to go on a night out during the colder months all my more ''formal'' shoes, are a pair of black heels, a pair of beige heels ( which are worn out and i try to avoid them) and a pair of beige wedges (my latest addition).
It came to my mind that a pair of nice black platform booties, not only would sexify (?!) an outfit but also would be really comfortable to dance with.

6. Nude platform booties (for spring, J.Campbell look alikes)

If i had the money i would choose something like that :

But since i don't have the money, i will choose something like that:

or something like that:

7. My oh my, the naked palet (1? 2?)

8. One nice underwear set by Venus Victoria

Venus Victoria is a greek brand for woman underwear and lingerie. Their designs are really pretty and romantic and one bra i got from them, really worth it's money. They are not too expensive and i can tell you, from personal experience, that from all the bras i own, only this one is still in perfect shape after all these years, still doing its job perfectly.  Also their fit is one of the best that i have come across.
I believe their bras are a piece that you can fearlessly invest in.

That's all my dears for now. This list i think will be ongoing until i fulfil every part of it, little by little.

Hope to talk to you soon enough.

Till the next time,
kisses and one of my paws!

TREND ALERT!

Hello my lovelies!

I'm back from Germany! As expected i had a wonderful time there, so many feelings and so many memories.
Instead of writing a post of my experiences there i decided to write about the trends that came to my attention while i was there. Returning home to Greece, i realised that some of these trends were the same here as well.
So here you have it, things currently trending in Germany (and partly in Greece) or just about to start.

             1. The green jacket with hood (mainly in Germany)

              2. Leather Jackets ( faux or not , black/brown/beige , biker or not , both countries)

3. Heels with pointy tips, in all the colors of the pastel rainbow (mainly Germany)

4. Boots and ballet flats with lace pattern

These are some of the trends that have so far caught my eye. But as you know spring has only just began, so we can await many more.

Until the next time,
Many kisses!
